Ashley Basnight, from HGTV's Battle on the Beach and NBC's Making It

Back in August of 2016, Ashley Basnight was looking for a custom dining table and couldn’t find anyone in the area to build one at an affordable price but came across a woman on Instagram that built furniture. It was there she found a woodworking community and started repurposing furniture before testing out woodworking. Originally from Currituck, North Carolina she moved to Omaha and with a Computer Science degree worked in engineering for 9 years until she went full-time DIY after diving head-first into woodworking! Part of her mission is to show the world, specifically women, that you can do whatever you set your mind to, and you can look good doing it! She has starred on NBC’s Making It and HGTV’s Battle on the Beach, winning the latest season summer 2023!
